Remote Working Part 2 – Things you should know about managing yourself
04/09/2009 by FeedCrazy.
The top reason individuals fail to succeed at operating remotely is they don’t see the need for good quality organisation and solid self discipline.
I have been toiling remotely for almost a decade since I first unearthed Quickbooks online an ‘on demand’ small business accounting software service and was spellbound by the fact that if you can do accounting on the Internet then why shouldn’t it be workable to do other key types of of work remotely?
Whilst working remotely has many benefits there are numerous mistakes that people make which turn into problems that cause reduced work output and reduced morale. The key reason for reductions in productivity in remote workers is disturbance and it is a confirmed and well publicised fact that it can take a worker up to twenty minutes to establish their original output level after experiencing a disruption.
Studies also show that persons who are regularly experience disturbances are more likely to suffer from reduced memory power and are prone to developing mental health problems in old age. We live in an over communicated time and it is imperative that you recognise the issues this causes before you commence working remotely. Whilst operating remotely you must do everything feasible to reduce the jeopardy of being disturbed.
Here are things that really do work:
1, Get a routine, communicate it to absolutely everyone and stick to it!
Good examples are a specific time of day when you check or write and send electronic mail and make or be available for phone calls. Before I began working remotely I used to get in the region of 200 electronic mails a day. Now I think I am unfortunate if I get greater than four. To ’reset’ my electronic mail experience I changed my e-mail address and vigorously took steps to shield the details being made available to anyone. I then educated every person who I gave my e-mail address to, to use it with special care. I also set up an auto-responder that swiftly told anyone sending me mail my schedule for attending to mail and if someone should have my immediate attention to mark it as ‘Urgent’.
2. Get rid of alerts.
Turn off every feature that can send you a visual or audible alert. This includes mobile and
ordinary handsets and types of alerts from electronic mail such as visual alerts, warning sounds, screen changes to your inbox list and of course facing a window. Get a door on your office and put up a ‘do not disturb’ sign on it.
In ‘Remote Working Part 3 – My list of essentials’ I will reveal my favourite tools and software.

Remote Working Part 1 – The Rough Guide – Summary
04/09/2009 by FeedCrazy.
Obviously not all of us is allowed to work remotely as there are some types of work that require employees to consistently attend their place of work or travel to undertake their work face to face. But for those of us have the chance to work remotely then I thought it would be useful to share my experiences and present some practical guidance by distributing it on the web with the sole objective of providing valuable shortcuts for adapting to remote working or supervising remote workers.
I should warn you that there are groups of so called ’experts’ on the net who will try and sell you online education for big sums of cash, trust me you don’t have to do this.
I am privileged to be permitted to work in whatever location I choose and just about everybody who asks me what work I do wants to learn how I am able to work remotely. Don’t misinterpret me I am still learning about the art of remote working as everyday I encounter people on the net who show me new knowledge and I am constantly discovering new systems and processes that make my life easier and make me more effective.
Throughout the past seven years I have significantly adapted my working practices to allow me to do just about all of my work remotely with a kit of online tools and rigid self discipline. One early morning whilst browsing the net I discovered Quickbooks online and this inspired me as to what just might be possible. My encounter with ’cloud’ based ‘on demand’ small business accounting software was the turning point for me and the launch pad of my ‘remote working journey’.
I should inform you up front that efficiently working remotely is as much about the tools as it is about self management. Working remotely also means informing your team members, managers and customers as to what they can expect and how they will stay in touch with you.
In ‘Remote Working Part 2 – Tips on self management’ I talk about how to focus.

Obviously not everyone is allowed to work remotely as some vocations require employees to consistently attend their employers premises or travel to undertake their work face to face. But for those of us are allowed to work remotely then I thought it would be useful to share my experiences and offer some practical advice by putting it on the Internet with the sole objective of providing valuable advice for adapting to remote working or supervising remote workers.
I must tell you you that there are a lot of people on the net who will try and get you to buy online education for substantial sums of cash, trust me you don’t need to do this.
I am lucky enough to be permitted to work anywhere I choose and just about everybody who asks me what I do for a living wants to get details of how I manage to work remotely. Don’t get me wrong here I am still perfecting the art of remote working as each day I meet tribes on the web who teach me new knowledge and I am continually unearthing new systems and ways that make my life easier and make me more efficient.
In the past 7 years I have significantly adapted my working practices to enable me to do all of my work remotely with a mixture of online tools and unfaltering self discipline. One lunchtime whilst searching the web I uncovered Quickbooks online and this brought to my attention what just might be possible. My encounter with ’hosted’ ‘on demand’ small business accounting software was a pivotal moment for me and the start of my ‘remote working career.
I should say up front that efficiently working remotely is as much about the systems as it is about self management. Working remotely also means telling your colleagues, supervisors and customers as to what they can expect and how they will stay in touch with you.
In ‘Remote Working Part 2 – Tips on self management’ I discuss how to focus.

What is Article Marketing?
04/09/2009 by FeedCrazy.
Article marketing is a type of advertising in which businesses write short articles related to their respective industry. Article marketing has been used by professionals for nearly as long as mass print has been available. It is a good way to bring in new traffic to a site.
Article marketing has become increasingly popular as a marketing method under the Web. It is still one of the most important tools in an Internet marketer’s arsenal. It is a web-based crossroads where content-hungry demand meets information-rich supply.
Article Marketing is also the most inexpensive method of driving traffic to your site. It has several benefits, including establishing yourself as a expert, lead generation, increased site traffic and improved search engine rank.
Article marketing helps with your websites search engine optimization as well , be sure to factor this added value in as you decide how much time to spend on writing articles. It can quickly change and or improve your online identity.
Article marketing lets you speak directly to your perfect customer. It lets show off what you have and customers get an idea of what it is you are offering. It is a tried and true method of creating web site traffic, once you can get them to your web site, you have a chance to close the sale and make some money.
It is a website promotion and online marketing bargain. Article Marketing is a practice that no webmaster, blogger or Internet marketer should go without doing. Article marketing is just one way of promoting a service or product; but it is one of the best ways as well.

Article Writing - Everything You Need to Know
04/09/2009 by FeedCrazy.
Article Writing can be one of the most enjoyable things to do while earning; it can also be the most tormenting work to do to those who have a hard time constructing proper sentences and grammar structures. Despite the enjoyment or the pain article writing gives, it is actually needed by almost everyone whether they are the ones needing an article writing service or they are those who earn from it. This Article is written to guide those who both earn from it and to those who pay for it.
One main factor that affects the level of article writing is the topic. For article writers, they should have enough knowledge to write an article on that particular topic or they should have enough resources to get information in order for them to create an article about the topic. On the other hand, those who have a hard time writing also decide whether that particular topic they are given can be written by them or should they actually find other alternatives to create a more informative content for the articles.
Niches or specializations also affect both the writer of the article and the ones who need it done. All article writers have specializations when it comes to the topic they will be writing about and they can provide better output when they write about their particular niche or specialization. Niches are also one of the main factors that affect the decision of those who need article writing services. Most customers choose a writer who specializes on that specific topic to write for them.
Another factor that affects both the writer and the customer is the budget for the service and the time given to complete the specific article to be written. The writer of the article tries to earn money from the article he or she is writing while the customer tries to get informative and superb content from the writer with a specific amount he or she will be paying. The length of the project also determines the price of the article that needs to be written; the shorter the period of time the higher the cost will be since the writer of the article can consume only a limited amount of time when writing the specific article.
Article writing is an earning opportunity to those who are gifted when it comes to the proper composition of words in order to form informative content. It also serves as a vehicle to those who love to read and learn through reading. Article Writing is also an earning opportunity even to those who have a hard time writing. The web is majorly composed of articles written by different types of people and some earn from these written articles even though they did not write it themselves.
Moreover, article writing can still also be learnt through patience and perseverance. Those who are patient enough to learn proper punctuations and correct grammar rules often succeed when it comes to learning to write quality and informative content.
